Athletics has been a vital part of the Carson-Newman experience from the beginning. Sports teach us more than just how to compete and win championships. Our athletes learn to live out the values of sacrifice, teamwork, courage, loyalty, gratitude, humility, and sportsmanship every day on the field, in the classroom, and in life.

As a NCAA Division II school, Carson-Newman University competes at a high level in the South Atlantic Conference (SAC). Our athletes have given us much to celebrate over years past and much to live up to in the future. Talons up!

We’re committed to making college affordable.

Paying for college should be manageable for students at every income level. In addition to federal and state grants and scholarships, Carson-Newman offers many academic and talent scholarships funded by private donors to the University as well as need-based grants. Work with our financial aid counselors to find the right personal package for you from a combination of scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study opportunities.
